Mike's Note
I'm sure that by now you've heard that Exchange server 2007 is only 64 bit. Of course you know that there's a 32bit version for evaluation, but it's not supported in production, but comes in pretty handy if you're extending the schema. What I wasn't aware of is that Exchange Server 2007 won't install on Windows Server 2008 unless you have the installation media with SP1 integrated.

You'll get an error that "Exchange 2007 cannot be used with the version of Windows operating system running on this computer".

One of the tried and true methods for troubleshooting issues with Microsoft Outlook is to create a brand new profile. Here’s how you go about doing it.

(Clicking on an image will open a larger version in a new window)

Close Outlook, and give it a few minutes for the process to exit.

Click on Start > Control Panel

Double Click on the Mail Icon

Click on the Show Profiles Button

If you're using Exchange 2003, and have users who make use of their junk e-mail lists, then this post may come in handy.

Exchange has a limit of 512 KB for your junk e-mail lists. This is a cumulative total for all of your lists, safe senders, blocked senders, etc.

I ran into this problem and had a heck of a time finding the solution for it. The exact error message is pretty scarce on the internet, and even scarcer on the Microsoft Web Sites.
